Proudly Korean-Filipino owned. Serving the Hudson Valley, New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut, with nationwide shipping available.

I use sustainably harvested hardwoods from the Hudson Valley, and make everything in my workshop in Saugerties, New York. Each variety of wood has its own kaleidoscopic array of tones, patterns, and natural imperfections such as burls and bores.

Prior to moving upstate, I ran Dutch Oven Finds LLC, a vintage furniture company in NYC focusing on Danish teak and midcentury modern. I fell in love with woodworking as demand for custom-made pieces increased, slowly shifting my business from vintage to handmade.

I collaborate with clients to design each piece together, tailored to your specific material needs, budget, and timeline. Please fill out the contact form below or email SEOWADEWOOD@GMAIL.COM to get started!

Using my hands to create has always been a place where I can connect with my inner self.

Culture is increasingly moving in the direction of sustainability and reuse. We are all experiencing late-stage capitalism and the ripple effects of the pandemic. I see learning to build something practical out of existing materials as an opportunity to contribute in some tiny way to the longevity of humankind. The urge to create is part of what connects us all to our shared future.

My life experience has allowed me to build a skill set in a field that I enjoy and am talented at. I've only recently had the self-awareness and emotional tools to allow myself to pursue it. I'm thrilled to be living a life where I show up as my whole self and get to do what I want to do instead of just what I feel obligated to do.

“The creative process allows you to put aside all your other responsibilities and be present with the project that's right in front of you. A key element of restoring wood furniture is being able to see the beauty that’s under the surface level — uncovering that gives me joy.”
